Cancer has touched the hearts of my entire family over the past three years with the loss of both my grandmother and grandfather to their fights against cancer. Both of them were relatively young and each were a huge part of my life and the centerpiece of our family. One of the many things that I will always remember about both of them is how much they gave back to their community, church, university and causes they were passionate about. As I began to think about ways that I could start giving back I couldn’t think of a better cause to support than the fight against cancer as it will always be near to my heart. Shortly thereafter, I was introduced to YTAC and was truly inspired by what this group of young professionals was able to accomplish in its mission to educating others and funding research to find cures for this lethal disease. I quickly became involved and I am thrilled to be part of such a great group of young people working to support such a meaningful cause.
