Like many people I lost two of my grandparents to cancer. I was very young, and at the time cancer seemed like a disease that only affected the elderly. After college I had a very good friend diagnosed with cancer and watched closely for two years as she went through the treatments, hospital stays and uncertainty before winning her battle. It was at this time that it really hit home that cancer can affect anybody at anytime.
I was lucky enough to be exposed to YTAC by a business colleague and decided to join in the summer of 2010. I have really enjoyed being afforded the opportunity to help in trying to stop this terrible disease.
