Young Texans Against Cancer has 4 annual fundraising events: Run for a Reason with Chevron Houston Marathon, YTAC Olympics, Kiss My Grits: Gulf Coast Throwdown and YTAC Golf Classic.
Run for a Reason with Chevron Houston Marathon
YTAC has been chosen for a 4th year in a row as an official charity for the Chevron Houston Marathon. As an official charity, YTAC will have both full and half marathon spots available for fundraising. As a runner for YTAC, you will receive a training shirt, official running shirt for the day of the event and invitation to celebrate your accomplishments at our Victory Party. Our members will also be there to cheer you on the day of the event at our Hoopla station.
YTAC Olympics
This event is entering in its 4th year. It is an adult field day held in the 1st part of the year filled with fun. Co-ed teams of 10 participate in field day events of Tug-o-War, Relay Race, Bike Course, Downhill Sledding and Obstacle Course. Each year, YTAC has approximately 250 young professionals participating in this competition.
Kiss My Grits: Gulf Coast Throwdown
Kiss My Grits will enter into its 3rd year. The event is held in early spring and is a competition of some of the local Houston area top chefs. Over 300 attendees will enjoy tastings and samplings from each chef. This event draws both the young professional crowd and corporate sponsors.
YTAC Golf Classic
The annual YTAC Golf Classic is held in late Fall each year. Both young professionals and corporate sponsors spend a day to help our fundraising efforts and play in our golf tournament.
Additionally, Young Texans Against Cancer holds quarterly happy hours, educational sessions and volunteer opportunities.
